We have a big girl crush on Melbourne influencer and brand owner Jacquie Alexander and we know we aren’t the only ones. Jacquie’s style and Instagram content is a big inspiration for us and we’ve been able to work closely with her on collaborations with her incredible label: inmymoods. Jacquie came and hung out with us for the day at SOUTH.ST HQ where we chatted about all things Instagram, styling and puppies, and took some killer pictures in studio 41. Jacquie, give us a quick recap of how you became the Instagram icon that you are. Did you have a big break?
I started posting on Instagram so long ago it feels like forever so I don’t really feel like I've had one "big break" but multiple amazing moments that make me so grateful to call my hobby my job!
Coolest moment in your career so far?
Probably getting to work with some amazing Australian brands. Working with Mecca was so fun! And meeting so many of my closest friends along the way!

I wear socks to bed. I am obsessed with popcorn. I can't handle stress at all :)
What’s a typical day in the life of Jacquie Alexander?
Coffee (new to the game), walk the dogs, plan outfits to shoot and content that needs to be shot, reply to emails, head out to meet with one of the girls to shoot some looks, come back home to edit and submit the content, pilates or a HIIT workout, dinner, skincare, and TikTok for the rest of the night :)
What’s your fave SOUTH.ST kit?
So, so obsessed with the ‘MILK’ set – I feel like it's the perfect comfy lounge for at home but also looks super cute when you dress it up and accessorise!
How would you style the ‘NO PLANS’?
I've chosen to style these pants with a cropped silk top and a big oversized blazer, because, in my opinion, you can literally never go wrong with a blazer. I feel like you could wear this out to a lunch or just out running errands because it's casual but also super cool! Oh, and sneakers always :)
We’ve absolutely loved teaming up with your brand. What’s your ‘inmymoods x SOUTH.ST’ outfit goals?
The blue 'moods' sweater pairs so well with the ‘CREAM’ shorts, I feel like the colours really compliment each other. Then I threw on some Yeezy slides to keep it casual. The ultimate cosy cute fit.
Who/where do you find your inspo from?
Pinterest is my main source of inspo, I love that you see people on there that you might not come across on Instagram. And I love that you can search certain genres of fashion or periods in time to get even more inspo.
What’s your fave recipe you’re cooking at the moment?
I love making brunch type meals, so fried eggs on smashed avo is always a fave. I also love making a delicious soba noodle salad with tofu or chicken! YUM.
